About Us

Hello, and welcome to Vitality!

We created Vitality to provide people like us—people over 50 who want to continue to live a vibrant, healthy life in this PRIME TIME of middle age—with news, information, and inspiration from across the web on how to do just that.

We’ll monitor the major (and also the niche) Internet news and health sites and social media for the posts and stories that we think will be most interesting and helpful to you, and gather them all in one place.

From time to time, we’ll also provide round-ups of what we think are the most valuable reference sources on specific health topics that matter to our dynamic, 50-plus community.

We know you, because we ARE you: we’re not doddering, stereotypical old fogies; but we’re also not—sad to admit it—25-year-old Instagram fitness stars and nutrition gurus. We’re active, healthy people “of a certain age” who find ourselves facing some new challenges as we round that corner of 50 or 60 or 70—and we’d like to provide a forum for sharing useful information and tips for the good life.

And the truth is: things do start happening in our human bodies at this age. A friend of mine recently joked that we’re talking more about blood pressure readings over dinner than about new love interests—and that is a fact. But we need to share information about this stuff, because it is happening; and sharing information is empowering.

We hope you’ll join us in a journey and a conversation, to make your Second Half as vital as it can possibly be.
